Tomorrow, powered by Remake Learning is what we need right now
This post brings you from Remake Learning and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.
Do you remember Dr. Martin Luther King's speech "I have a dream"? Of course you do. Who isn't?
While speech is often used to talk about the future in terms of racial relations, this speech, his dream, was truly a hope. And leadership. Studying the. Understanding. Empathy. Acceptance.
Although Dr. King failed to see his dream come true, I am grateful that so many people continued on the path to create a better future.
One of these people was Fred Rodgers.
Mr. Rodgers, Everyone's Favorite Neighbor He was a master at helping children (and their adults) navigate the transition and change. Life for all of us is incredibly changed right now and inspired by Mr. Rodgers, Remake Learning has created a plan to support our children in adapting.
"Often when you think you're at the end of something, you're at the beginning of something else." "Fred Rodgers."
You know, I bet a lot of people think the idea of hope ended after Dr. King died. They thought this was the end.
As Fred Rodgers says, this is just the beginning of something else.
What does something else look like for you right now?
For us, it was a transition to distance learning and finding ways to stay social with friends when you can't be in the same place.
Cook more at home and practice new skills. Something else was approaching our family and taking into account our blessings.
He is grateful for today and hopes for tomorrow.
Tomorrow, powered by Remake Learning, is for what follows
This is the goal of tomorrow, driven by Remake Learning. It is a campaign that challenges us to move forward and create a future in which all people are connected and working together to prepare for the next.
From young people and their families to educators, tomorrow, driven by Remake Learning, is inspired by Fred Rodgers. It begins today, May 22, or 143rd day – a day to celebrate kindness and love.
From May to October 2020, Remake Learning will engage young people, families and teachers with workshops and other events to encourage critical conversations about the future of learning.
How can you get involved?
